The EU-UK Trade and Cooperation Agreement (TCA) signed in December\, but not yet ratified by the EU Parliament\, provides a framew ork for the supply of goods but has very limited assistance for service pro viders.
The provision of cross border financial services will be ba sed on regulatory equivalence which is to be decided unilaterally by the UK and EU. In the absence of any help\, insurance intermediaries have therefo re made their own arrangements to continue servicing their EU clients. The TCA does\, at least\, provide some commitment to cross border workers.
As we are now three months into the new regime\, companies should revie w how their current actions are measuring up to plan and where the main cha llenges are.
